Meet Jim Albrecht - Owner

For Jim Albrecht, working on cars is more than a career—it is a lifelong passion. With 30 years of hands-on experience, Jim brings extensive knowledge, skill, and attention to detail to every vehicle he works on.
Specializing in automotive mechanics and customization, Jim believes the best work begins with listening carefully, communicating honestly, and treating every customer’s vehicle with the same care he would give his own. Whether he is solving a mechanical problem or adding personalized details, his goal is to deliver dependable workmanship that customers can trust.
Jim understands that a vehicle can be much more than transportation. It can reflect its owner’s personality, hard work, and pride. He is passionate about helping customers create and maintain vehicles they are excited to drive—and proud to show off.

Meet Ken Macal - body shop manager

Ken Macal brings 35 years of experience in paint and bodywork to AM Speed and Custom. Throughout his career, he has worked on high-end classic car restorations, including extensive experience in restoring classic Lincolns and early Fords to award-winning quality. He is also highly experienced in replicating traditional wooden coachwork, carefully recreating the distinctive appearance and fine details these classic vehicles require.
Ken’s skill, precision, and attention to detail allow him to achieve exceptional results while preserving the character and history of each vehicle. In addition to his hands-on expertise, he has spent years managing body shops and mentoring others in the trade. His leadership, craftsmanship, and high standards make him a valuable resource for both customers and the AM Speed and Custom team.
Ken believes the customer always comes first. He takes the time to understand each customer’s vision and is committed to delivering work they can trust and be proud of. Whether restoring a classic finish, completing detailed bodywork, or reproducing vintage coachwork, Ken approaches every vehicle with patience, care, and respect for what makes it special.
Meet Jose Huerta - detailing manager

Jose Huerta leads the detailing department at AM Speed and Custom, bringing 30 years of experience, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to quality to every vehicle he works on. He specializes in both interior and exterior detailing, carefully addressing everything from the smallest interior surfaces to the finishing touches that bring out a vehicle’s shine.
Hardworking and dedicated, Jose never rushes through a job. He takes the time to ensure each vehicle receives the attention and care it deserves, with every detail completed to the highest possible standard. He understands the importance of presentation and believes a clean, beautifully detailed vehicle can completely change the way an owner feels when getting behind the wheel.
Customer satisfaction is always Jose’s top priority. He takes great pride in delivering results that exceed expectations and giving customers the feeling that they are stepping into a new car again.
Meet Emilio Albrecht - Apprentice

Emilio Albrecht is an apprentice at AM Speed and Custom who is eager to learn every aspect of the automotive business. Whether he is assisting with a vehicle, helping around the shop, or supporting the team, Emilio is always ready to pitch in wherever he is needed.
While gaining hands-on experience at the shop, Emilio is also pursuing his bachelor’s degree in business. He is passionate about creating a positive customer experience and making sure every person who walks through the door feels welcomed and valued. Emilio is excited to continue developing his skills and see where his growing career takes him.
